Centre of Excellence Assistant Coach Position
GMVA is seeking an Assistant Coach in a paid position for the 2024 Centre of Excellence (CoE) Program in a part time role.
The CoE requires an assistant coach on the following days and times in 2024
- Mondays, 12:30pm-3:00pm
- Tuesdays, 9:30am-11:30am
- Wednesdays, 9:30am-12:00pm
The role as an assistant coach is for the volleyball court training aspect of the CoE Program and the coach is not required to attend the Strength and Conditioning sessions.
We are looking for a suitably qualified coach who is confident enough to work with some of the best young athletes in Australia on their development pathway.
The assistant coach will not be required to plan training sessions.
Expectations will be, but not limited to:
- Give feedback to athletes on the technical side of skill development
- Work in a positive and respectful way with all athletes and head coach
- Run drills setup by the head coach on the adjacent court
- Assist in drill progression from time to time, as instructed by the head coach
- Setup video delay tablets for drills
- Assist head coach in training session reviews
Renumeration amount will be dependant on the applicants coaching experience. The applicants playing experience will also be considered.
There would be the opportunity for further paid coaching work within the GMVA structure if the applicant desires more work.
