Hello to my GMVA family,
I have been here in Denmark for a few months now and its been incredible. My host family is great. Tomas, Marian and 2 boys aged 10 and 13. They have accepted me in to their house for this season while i play at MVK (Middelfart Volleyball Klub) They have made it feel like my own home. Which has made the transition really easy and comfortable.
The team is good fun, they’re a good bunch of guys! We have 4 guys still at school, 3 at Uni, 1 Chef and 3 internationals. During our preseason we took a weekend to visit Germany and play two friendlies against a german Bundesliga team Lüneburg, they were a fantastic team and they showed us why they were in the german league final 4 last season. Unfortunately we haven’t had a successful start to out season with only one win so far looking to gain place in the top 6 in the back half of the season.
We have also been competing in two other championships , the Nordic Club Championships (NCC), the Pokal Cup and i have also been apart of the U21 Danish Championships. Last weekend we played the NCC at our home court in Middelfart unfortunately we were not able to win and progress through to the final round held in January with two close loses in 5 sets.
