About GMVA
We offer an 11 month per year training cycle covering both beach and indoor volleyball with a focus on strength and conditioning and core control. Our aim is not just to improve volleyball skill but also to strengthen the athletes bodies and ready them for playing more volleyball at a higher level all within our very positive training environment.
GMVA has a truly all star coaching line up, with coaches having represented Australia at some age level be it in beach volleyball, indoor volleyball or both. Our coaches have played a combined 3 Olympic games, 6 World Championships, 2 World Cups, 8 Continental Championships and over 50 FIVB World Tour Beach Events. We really believe that to teach someone how to play at the highest level and deal with the pressure of that environment it is important to have experienced it yourself. That's exactly what we have done, be it captaining a gold medal winning Blue team, playing for the national junior or youth team, playing college volleyball or playing and coaching professionally around the world.

What do you get at GMVA?
At GMVA you will receive a high level of technical training from people who have actually been there and done what they are talking to you about. Our coaches want to pass on what made them the successful players they were and still are today. There is no greater way of knowing what works in pressure situations in sport than experiencing that yourself over and over again until it come 2nd nature to you, well that is what our coaches have done. From college in the USA and Canada, professional volleyball in Europe and the Middle East, the Australian Institute of Sport and finally the Australian National Teams our coaches have the knowledge of what works and what doesn't to pass onto tomorrows superstars in volleyball.
GMVA is a fantastic stepping stone for young volleyballers who want to become the best player they can be both in volleyball skill and also physical capabilities. The physical side of volleyball is something that is integral to us as the more experienced a player gets and the higher level they play the more important it becomes.
We offer quality coaching that will help give the athletes the best chance of making national youth and junior programs. At GMVA we provide an opportunity for our athletes to go over the Canada and America on volleyball scholarships to further not only their volleyball but to gain a high quality education.
